Free Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds.

The Free Entitlement for 3 and 4 years old’s, starts the term following your child’s third birthday.  Parents who wish to claim the Free Entitlement must register their child with the nursery no later than the headcount date provided by WSCC.  The Nursery will provide all parents with a Parent Declaration Form, which the parents/carers of all eligible children must complete and sign. This must be returned to the Nursery Manager or Owner along with your child’s original Birth Certificate or Passport. The nursery shall take a photocopy of the original and retain the photocopy and completed Parent Declaration form for audit purposes.  It is the parent/carers responsibility to amend and sign the Parent Declaration form when any personal and/or attendance details change. The entitlement is offered for 10.5 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum.  The minimum a child may claim is 2.5 hours per week.  The maximum in a day is 10 hours and must be between 8am and 6pm.  Parents may split the entitlement between different settings if they so wish.  This must not equal more than 15 hours per week or 570 hours per 12 month period.  At Jigsaw Independent day Nursery, the NEG pays for 10.5 hours free entitlement over 52 weeks of the year.
